I attended a screening of this excellent documentary last night (“You Laugh But It’s True”) with the filmmaker David Meyer, Comedian (and Harvard comrade) Baratunde Thurston (author How to Be Black, co-founder Cultivated Wit, formerly of The Onion) and my very good friend who is a superb manager of talent Adesuwa McCalla.
It took place at Hub LA:

AND I’m going to go ahead and instruct you to pay a mere $1.99 to rent this film. That’s it, ONE dollar and NINETY-NINE cents. That price is less than a trip to Starbucks and this particular experience will provide an immeasurable amount of satisfaction. How long does your caffeine high really last anyway? Yeah that’s what I thought. Anyway, watch the trailer and then watch the film, trust me when I tell you that you’ll be happy you did. 🙂
(OR you can pay $5.99 and OWN the film which depending on how much damage you do in Starbucks on a regular basis is probably still a cheaper endeavor AND way more rewarding.)
