Those Roxanne battles were LEGENDARY in Chicago growing up. We had ALL the spin offs—Sparkie Dee, UTFO, Real Roxanne, etc. I remember thinking Roxanne Shante was the original, but later learned that the Puerto Rican chick that rolled with Full Force was the first one. Go figure!

Those hair pieces in the “Tramp” video . . . We’ve come a long way. Salt’s black dress was FLYYYYY though wasn’t it? When they stamp the word “Tramp” across the screen for each of the dudes—-hilarious.

I can’t believe you chose to feature “Yeah Yeah Yeah” over their masterpiece, “Juicy Gotcha Krazy (Remix).” What the hell is wrong with you? :-) The intro, the clothes, the EYEBROWS, the subject matter—–and most importantly—-B Angie B’s ULTRA sexual gyrating following Sweet LD’s command: “B Angie B, tell ‘em YOUR story!” A mess! But I still own the worn out cassingle! I loved how they danced!

I really wanna say female rappers have come a long way, but I’m not completely comfortable with that statement. I think they’re actually DE-volving currently . . .

HA!! I did spend some time trying to decide if I wanted to highlight “yeah yeah yeah” or “juicy gotcha krazy” and in the end as you can see “yeah yeah yeah” won out. Sorry I liked em both during that era but “yeah yeah yeah” was awesome in its simplicity! ;-)

“Tramp” was the BIZ-NESS!! I realized that again when I was looking at the lyrics:

“It just so happens that most men are tramps” and

“Have you ever seen a dude who’s stupid and rude
Whenever he’s around he dogs your mood
I know a guy like that, girl
He thinks he’s God’s gift to the world
You know that kind, excited all the time
With nothin’ but sex on the mind
I’m no stunt, on me you can’t front
I know the real deal, I know what they want
It’s me (why?) because I’m so sexy
It’s me (what?) don’t touch my body (boy)
Cos ya see, I ain’t no skeezer
      But on a real tip, I think he’s a…tramp”

      LOVES IT!!

Totally fell in love with rap when I heard Roxanne’s Revenge! I had no idea what she was talking about I just liked how it sounded. :-)
