Well well well what a week it has been…
POLITICS
That damn debate. Mitt flippy flopped all over the place and Obama should have been A LOT more forceful with calling him on his ish. I understand there is a fine line the President walks between being forceful and aggressive and being seen as an “angry black man” – Sigh. Seriously Barack you can punch him (figuratively speaking of course), just smile right after you do it. Like this – JAB! Then
Granted, President Obama’s performance just might be part of some larger strategy that we are currently unaware of and he may fully intend to “mollywhop” Romney in the next two debates thereby bringing a “happy happy joy joy” smile to my face.
One point I want to note is that Romneykins is now saying that his remarks about the 47% were just flat out wrong. Oh really Sir Romney of Flip Floptonia? NOW you admit that what you said was garbage? Funny because you’re initial response was [semi-paraphrasing] “I mean it may not have come out right (“inelegant”) but I totally meant what I said” and you know what Mittens – THAT was one of the few statements from you that I believed. A whoooooole bunch of people in your income bracket and many more outside of it believe the exact same malarkey - that 47% of Americans are VICTIMS and looking for a handout so quite honestly NOW I think you ARE lying about not believing they are leeches bleeding the US dry. Seriously dude, keeping up with your lies is like keeping up with Kimmy K’s sex life – too many to name and I really ain’t interested.
So perhaps, just maybe, it could be the case that President Obama did not bring up Mitt’s 47% remark because the Obama team correctly surmised that the Romney strategy would be to walk back that comment on national TV because to stick by it would have been worse for him. Alright Barack, I see you working. Just make sure you handle his ass in the next two match-ups, my nerves can’t take too much more of this insanity.
TODD AKIN IS CERTIFIABLE AND SHOULD BE PUT IN A HOME
U.S. Congressman Todd Akin (R-Mo.) is running for a U.S. Senate seat. He gained national attention with this response when he was asked whether or not an abortion should be permitted if a pregnancy results for a woman being raped:
From what I understand from doctors, that’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let’s assume that maybe that didn’t work or something. I think there should be some punishment. But the punishment ought to be of the rapist, and not attacking the child. (Slate)
THEN, last week he remarked how his opponent – Senator Claire McCaskill (D) – had become rather “aggressive” and “unladylike” recently. To be precise:
“I think we have a very clear path to victory, and, apparently, Claire McCaskill thinks we do, too, because she was very aggressive at the debate, which was quite different than it was when she ran against Jim Talent,” Akin told the Kansas City Star on Thursday. “She had a confidence and was much more ladylike [in 2006], but in the debate on Friday she came out swinging, and I think that’s because she feels threatened.” (WP)
AND NOW equally preposterous comments, again on the topic of abortions, that he made in 2008 have surfaced:
One of the good pieces of news why we’re winning this war is because there are not enough heartless doctors being graduated from medical schools. There’s a real shortage of abortionists. Who wants to be at the very bottom of the food chain of the medical profession? And what sort of places do these bottom-of-the-food-chain doctors work in? Places that are really a pit. You find that along with the culture of death go all kinds of other law-breaking: not following good sanitary procedure, giving abortions to women who are not actually pregnant, cheating on taxes, all these kinds of things, misuse of anesthetics so that people die or almost die. All of these things are common practice, and all of that information is available for America. (NYMag)
When asked about his 2008 comments he “doubled down” and his team offered up “proof” that it happens. Yes Representative Akin, doctors giving abortions to women who don’t need them is the norm. By the way I have a bridge in San Francisco I’m trying to sell, interested?
Two things: (1) This man sits on the House Committee for Science, Space and Technology (ASTONISHING!) and (2) According to various polls his defeat is not a sure thing (and it damn well should be). Seriously Missouri, ya’ll need to stop playing. #RealTalk
MUSIC INDUSTRY – “DIVAS GOT BEEF” EDITION

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj got into a shouting match this week. In MY opinion this is all COMPLETELY ridiculous but if you are interested, here is the transcript:
Nicki: Think I’m playin? Think this sh*t is a f*cking joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Say one more disrespectful thing to me, if you say one more disrespectful thing to me — off with your head!
Mariah: I am not being disrespectful.
Nicki: Off with your head, off with your head.
Nicki: Don’t tell me I’m insecure, don’t tell me I’m inadequate … you gonna get sent [inaudible] just fall back; don’t … you don’t know [inaudible] I don’t feel inadequate. You’re the insecure one sittin’ up there running down her resume every five minutes.
Nicki: Every time you take a shot at me I’ma take it back, and if you gotta f*cking problem then handle it. I told them, I’m not f*cking putting up with your f*cking highness over there … figure it the f*ck out. Figure it out.
Mariah: whyyyy, whhyyyyy …
Nicki: Figure it out
Mariah: … do I have a 3-year-old sitting around me???
Nicki: I’m not sitting here for 20 minutes and having you run down your resume everyday, No! Goodbye!
Mariah: Listen … I can’t see my kids because you decided to make … to have … to have a little baby fit and going all around the stage.
Nicki: Good, well then go see them now, go see them now … you’re boring as f*ck, you’re boring as f*ck. (TMZ)
Sigh. Guess American Idol is going for platinum in the ratings game this season.
THE DEBATE YOU DIDN’T SEE…
And you secretly wish you would see – First Lady Michelle “Arms” Obama vs. Ann “I’m Rich B*tch!” Romney:
One last comment, I truly pray that Mitt’s comment about taking down Sesame Street will be his ultimate undoing. He’s even got the kids riled up!
Seriously America, please save Big Bird AND yourselves!
Alright I’m out. Go enjoy your weekend it is the least you can do. ;-)
