“Elevator-Gate” Dominated Social Media
(1) A video of Solange trying to pummel her sister Beyonce’s husband Jay Z in an elevator took over all social media and blog sites. No really, the internet ERUPTED!
Best of Internet Reactions:
(a) Someone changed Solange’s Wikipedia page:
(b) Memes for DAYS!
Seriously it was ENDLESS!
(2) Ummm, I was supposed to leave room for Donald Sterling’s INSANE interview with Anderson Cooper where he put a live grenade in Magic Johnson’s back pocket and THEN threw him under a greyhound bus but “ElevatorGate” took up too much room. Still I would be remiss if I didn’t include a few quotes:
(a) “I think [Johnson] should be ashamed of himself,” Sterling told Cooper. “I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything.”
(b) “He’s got AIDS,” Sterling said. “What has he done, big Magic Johnson, what has he done?”
(c) “He acts so holy. He made love to every girl in every city in America, and he had AIDS, and when he had those AIDS, I went to my synagogue and I prayed for him, I hope he could live and be well. I didn’t criticize him. I could have. Is he an example for children?”
(d) “What kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV. Is that someone we want to respect, and tell our kids about?” Sterling said. “I think he should be ashamed of himself.”
As I noted on Facebook, I need Magic to go all “Elevator Solange” on Donald Sterling ’cause he clearly doesn’t know how to stop talking. Crazy. Bastard.
