And another well fed racist billionaire enters the fray – Meet J. JOE RICKETTS:
Racist Billionaire Joe Ricketts: “Let’s see what might be one sure fire way to rile up the white folks about this here boy in office? Oh I know, how about an ad using Obama’s full name and then remind everyone that Obama used to be pals with that angry black preacher who hates white people. Oh yeah and when ‘they’ say we’re ‘race-baiting’ I’ll have a ‘literate conservative African-American’ on deck, ready to do our bidding defend our ads.”
Sound a bit over the top? Then clearly you (a) don’t know American politics and/or (b) you don’t know how much some people passionately DESPISE President Obama. I don’t even care if Ricketts genuinely dislikes him because he’s a democrat OR if it’s because he is half negro – this type of attack is deplorable – whatever the basis (racist).
The NYTimes reported yesterday that a group of GOP strategists have teamed up with yet another angry billionaire on a proposal to remind everyone that President Obama really is a black bogeyman and you need to hide yo kids and hide yo wife.
“The plan…call[ed] for running commercials linking Mr. Obama to incendiary comments by his former spiritual adviser, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., whose race-related sermons made him a highly charged figure in the 2008 campaign.”
“The $10 million plan, one of several being studied by Mr. Ricketts, includ[ed] preparations for how to respond to the charges of race-baiting it envisions if it highlights Mr. Obama’s former ties to Mr. Wright, who espouses what is known as “black liberation theology.”
Gets better,
“The group suggested hiring as a spokesman an “extremely literate conservative African-American” who can argue that Mr. Obama misled the nation by presenting himself as what the proposal calls a “metrosexual, black Abe Lincoln.”
The GOP strategists had already contacted LARRY ELDER, a black conservative radio host, about serving as their stooge spokesman. Umm yeah, Look here Mr. Larry, you can honestly disagree with President Obama’s politics and choose to not vote for him based on that point alone (foolish but whatever) but please please PLEASE do NOT allow yourself to be a pawn in “their” hater ish. Not a good look dude, not at all.
The key update is that since this story came out the Super Pac and their Billionaire a*shat Joe Ricketts have scraped this particular game plan.
Joe Ricketts is the founder of the firm TD Ameritrade. Personally speaking, if “I” had an account with them I definitely wouldn’t still have one by the end of this month – if not sooner.
Joe Ricketts is also the patriarch of the family that owns the Chicago Cubs. Now I won’t really try and tell you to stop going to baseball games because I do know how some people LOVE them some baseball and the Cubs in particular HOWEVER again, personally speaking, I might think about catching them on tv and never buying another ticket to a game as long as that dude is the owner – just something to consider is all I’m saying. Update and clarification re Joe Ricketts affliation to the Cubs: His son, Tom Ricketts, is the Chairman of the team and is wisely distancing himself from his father’s comments.
“As chairman of the Chicago Cubs, I repudiate any return to racially divisive issues in this year’s presidential campaign or in any setting — like my father has,” Tom Ricketts said in the statement. “I shall have no further comment on this or any other election year political issue. My full-time focus is on making the Chicago Cubs a World Series champion preserving Wrigley Field and making the Chicago Cubs a great corporate citizen.”
You see how the son is planning to keep his personal political views to himself? He may hate Obama as well but he’s not about to let the public know it ESPECIALLY since the Cubs are currently in talks with the city (i.e., Mayor Rahm Emanuel) about receiving public funds for Wrigley Field. Yeaaaaahhhhhh. (Shout out to “Skitch” for the info!)

Romney has said that he “disapproves” of the plan and believes it to be the “wrong course” to take. Finally, something he and I agree on. Although the thought of it backfiring so spectacularly does fill me with a certain amount of glee. #Obama2012

NYTimes columnist Gail Collins (big fan) mentioned that the Romenator delivered a speech recently claiming that President Obama added “almost as much debt as all the prior presidents combined.” Guess what? This inflammatory sounding “fact” is, hmm let’s us the word “inaccurate.” As noted by The Associated Press “the public debt has gone up about 50% since the president took office while ‘under Ronald Reagan it tripled.” Tripled. Let me repeat it a third time – under Reagan the debt TRIPLED. And please don’t forget that Bush came in with a SURPLUS which he promptly squandered.
Romney said his spending and tax-cutting plan would reign it in. To which “the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimated would, at the very best, do nothing whatsoever.” #Romneyisadelusionalliar
Speaking of misleading the public…
You know how Romeny keeps jawing on about the 100,000 jobs that were “created” during his time at Bain? So after a careful analysis (a) that number is highly debatable and (b) even in giving him that number the reality is that most of those jobs were in retail (Staples, Sports Authority) and fast food (Domino’s) – with few positions that would pay enough to feed a family of four. One company that did thrive, Steel Dynamics, does have wages that would provide a semblance of a middle class existence. Awesome. Let’s see that’s one out of several. Great living wage job creating you did Mitty boy – Good job! #sarcasm

In not surprising news at all, the GOP does not have an alternative plan to Obamacare. They lied and said they did but they recently admitted that actually they do not. They simply don’t care if you can’t afford basic healthcare. I believe they would just tell you to get a better job or die. Thanks for playing, hope you’ve had a spectacular ride! #richa*sholes
THE REAL REASON THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL THE ELECTION…
is because the inevitable has finally arrived, the census bureau has confirmed that “[w]hite births are no longer a majority in the United States.” Uh-oh.
Non-Hispanic whites accounted for 49.6 percent of all births in the 12-month period that ended last July, according to Census Bureau data made public on Thursday, while minorities — including Hispanics, blacks, Asians and those of mixed race — reached 50.4 percent, representing a majority for the first time in the country’s history. (NYT)
Surely Armageddon really is right around the corner. Gun sales are about to hit another all time high (I think they spiked pretty significantly in the fall of 2008) and you might want to prepare yourself for much more outlandish behavior from “them” – remember they play to win and they play dirty. Mortgages in the Caribbean are fairly inexpensive right?

1. Facebook raised $16 BILLION yesterday in an initial public offering (IPO). The shares initially sold at $38 each however that amount may go higher today. Facebook is now valued at $104 BILLION which is higher than McDonald’s, Citigroup and Amazon. Mark Zuckerberg’s stake in FB is now worth $19 BILLION. Bananas. #MoMoney
2. Instagram (now owned by facebook) is a photo sharing application that allows you to take a picture, choose a cool filter (vintage, etc) and then share it on intagram’s site, facebook, twitter or tumblr. I think it’s interesting and sorta cool but I don’t use it (my phone sucks) and was only mildly interested in the concept until this week when I discovered that this Italian designer dude, Antonio De Rosa, came up with a wicked awesome idea for an actual camera. In a nutshell, it’s a smaller, doper polaroid and if it becomes a real thing I can’t WAIT to get my hands on it.
So that you understand the magnitude of my interest allow me to elaborate – it is not in my nature to get in line for the latest toy gadget. For example, I do not own nor am I pressed to acquire an IPad, an IPhone, a Nook, a Kindle, a thingamajig or a doohickey. Regarding the Instagram camera, I am prepared to make an exception to my rule and camp out overnight if necessary. Okay okay, not really but kinda maybe… 
IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE DISCO QUEEN
Another legend has passed on. Born LaDonna Adrian Gaines, the woman we knew as “Donna Summer” passed away May 17th at the age of 63. The cause was cancer. President Obama released this statement: ““Her voice was unforgettable, and the music industry has lost a legend far too soon.” So true.
She had sooooo many hits! “Bad Girls, She Works Hard For The Money, Heaven Knows, Last Dance, On The Radio, I Feel Love”. These new jack heffas WISH they could get it in like her. Without question she was one of a kind with an unparalleled talent. Donna thank you for blessing us with your gift.
“Love To Love You Baby” – The “dance” moves, the hair, the clothes – this video is pure 70s from start to finish. LOVES IT!
“Hot Stuff” – I’m the person blasting this song and singing at the top of my lungs in my car while people point, smile and give me a thumbs up. If I could take a bow I would. Glad you enjoyed the performance, I put my all into it.
