Yep I’m late but better late than never.
I kept hearing about how awesome this web series was but I kept putting off watching it because well I’m not sure why, something about time commitment, procrastination, I’ll catch it at some point, yada yada. Well I FINALLY started watching it and I LOVE IT!!
I’m bringing it up now because (a) I just started watching it and (b) Season 2 starts tomorrow.
Below are the first three episodes from Season 1. They are short so watching at work is totally feasible.

I figured there was no need to include any additional episodes because if you’re not hooked after watching the third episode then forget about it however IF you are now fully engaged and want to continue on just go to youtube and have at it.
Meet the Creator: ISSA RAE
Issa Rae is a producer/director/writer striving to make her mark on the entertainment industry. She received her B.A. from Stanford University, where she produced and directed four theatrical productions, including two stage adaptations of Spike Lee films. Because film was her true passion, she took time off from Stanford to attend the New York Film Academy where she honed her filmmaking skills.
Upon graduating, Issa Rae has worked on various music videos and shorts. “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” often referred to as ABG, is Issa Rae’s third web series. It has been featured on several sites and publications, including CNN, NBC, BET.com, Vibe, Huffington Post, Essence Magazine and more.
Rae is signed with UTA and 3 Arts Entertainment. She has two other web series, which include, “Dorm Diaries” and her award-winning series, “FLY GUYS present the F Word.”
There is so much more to include about this very talented lady but I need to finish watching a few more episodes, do one or two more google searches and right now I need to bounce. Just in case you are interested click here for the Season 2 Trailer.
