Debuting in 2016 – Late Night with Barack Obama!

President Obama: “Hey Jimmy, after my next four years in the White House, I think I’ll move into late night tv, I kinda like it here. Oh yeah and The Roots are coming with me. Same goes for those two stellar Harvard fellas working for you Bashir Salahuddin & Diallo Riddle. Gotta keep the fam together. You know I went to Harvard as well Jimmy.”

Jimmy Fallon:  “Yes Mr. President, I know.”

President Obama:  “Good. Just checking.”

*Disclaimer:  This is a fictional conversation intended to induce a small chuckle and to give my peeps who are writers on Jimmy’s show some props. Note: As far as I know President Obama is NOT planning to do a late night talk show in 2016 but wouldn’t it be cool if he guest hosted on a show? Or maybe Sasha, that kid has spunk!

Obama:  (re Jimmy showing a photo of him from college) “I want you to notice the afro and then there’s, I guess, fur on the jacket, on the collar. I think this was a Goodwill purchase.”

Continued:  (re his own and Michelle’s student loans) “We didn’t finish paying off our student loans until about 8 years ago. 8 years ago and now I’m President of the United States – so you know, it worked out for us.”

Obama:  “Right now, the interest rates on your student loans are scheduled to go up on July 1st unless Congress acts. So what we’ve been saying to folks is call, write, email your member of congress and tell them don’t double my rates. In fact if you tweet, you can use that hashtag (#), #DontDoubleMyRates!”

Obama:  “Look, Secret Service, these guys are incredible… So a couple of knuckleheads shouldn’t detract from what they do but what these guys were thinking, I don’t know. That’s why they’re not there anymore.”
