OUTRAGED
In case you missed this shining example of sociopaths in the making, Karen Huff Klein, a 68 year old bus monitor and grandmother of eight, was bullied mercilessly during what was probably the last bus ride for the school year. Nothing like the last day of school to turn kids into total monsters. Warning – the comments heard on the video are beyond disturbing and will likely turn your stomach. Or in my case they might make you want to go find the little sadists and send them to Gitmo for a stint.
“Dumb-ass, fat-ass.” “Maybe she is an elephant.” “She’s gonna pick out which kid she’s gonna rape next.” “Karen wants herpes.” “F**king hearing aid.” “I’ll egg your house.” “What’s your address so I can p*ss all over your door.” “I’ll f**king take a cr*p in your mouth.” “You touched her arm flap. It’s all stinky and smelly.” “She probably eats deodorant because she can’t afford real food.” “What size bra are you? Triple sag?” (gawker)

Fortunately as with every dark cloud there is a silver lining. A call for support was launched to send Klein on a well deserved vacation and as early this morning the pledge had raised approximately $485,00. Also, Southwest has offered free round trip flights for Klein and 9 additional people for a trip to Disney World. Hopefully her plan will be to take her family on an awesome trip, retire and never set eyes on those little asshats ever again. There are moments when I really and truly appreciate the internet. This is definitely one of them.
Update: Two of the bullies have issued statements apologizing for their actions. I guess it’s a start. I know I shouldn’t hold a grudge against a kid but let’s just say I”m glad I don’t know them personally.
“WHITES ONLY”
In another example of profound ignorance, hatred and abuse checked by internet justice, a bar in Raleigh, North Carolina decided that now was a good time to revert back to a “Whites Only” establishment however they neglected to put a sign out front so black folks foolishly keep trying to get inside. Tsk tsk tsk.
Specifically, Jonathan Wall, 21 years old and headed to Harvard was one of those foolish black people who simply wanted to watch some sports on a big screen and perhaps partake of the endless wing special at Downtown Sports Bar and Grill. An overseer A bouncer initially told Wall and his two friends that they needed a “membership” to enter tonight. Perplexed they went back and forth for a while and then at some point a police officer came nearby and the bouncer suddenly changed his tone and just waved them inside. Once the perimeter was breached, Todd Chriscoe, the bar’s manager and throwback neanderthal soon flew into action, aggressively instructing Wall to buy a drink or leave now. At this point Wall was waiting for a friend to return from the restroom and wasn’t so inclined to take either of Chriscoe’s suggestions. Another back and forth ensued and before he could yell out “I have a dream” Wall found himself in a type of headlock and being pushed back out the door.
Wall saw another officer in the vicinity and went to report the unnecessary force that was just used to eject him from the venue and to his chagrin, the officer was basically like, “yeah, its wack but it happens, oh well” (starts whistling again). To be exact:
She explained that this happens all the time, and that if she approached the bartender about it, he’d have witnesses that would corroborate whatever story he made up as to why he kicked me out in such an aggressive manner. She then explained that my options were limited because if she proceeded with getting statements from both of us and conducted an investigation, the end result could be worse for me: either it would get dismissed in court, or we would both be charged with what is the equivalent of “fighting” and both have a misdemeanor. She said “He probably has a few charges already, but you’re young with a bright future ahead of you, and you don’t want that on your record.” (jezebel)
Great. Anyway eventually Wall realized justice would not be served that evening and went home. He told his family about the incident and it turned out his cousin had also been barred from entering the bar that evening as well. Yada yada, twitter, email, blah blah, facebook group, national and local media attention, etc and now a protest is scheduled for today. Get ‘em!
